Group Project

For the group project I had the idea to do a piece of work for earth day! By using pine straw, grass and sticks we can create an image of the earth.

Implied Motion

Emphasis and Focal Point

The focal point in both of these pictures are obvious. In the top picture the railroad tracks going off into the distance is clearly the focal point. In the bottom photo the big black circle is where the emphasis lies and creates a large focal point.

Line

Both images include actual line. The lines in the top picture outlines the letters while the lines in the bottom photo all go to a single point.

Emotive Lines

This image to me is exciting. The mixture of the curved and hard edges of the shapes gives this piece many emotions. To me it is happy, simply because of the bright colors.

To me this image screams consistency. The constant horizontal, gray lines make the image plain yet gives it a hurried, boring feel.

Just like the title of the song, the music video to the song Blue is full of blue effects.

Acrylic on canvas with pieced border

This piece by Faith Ringgold attracted because of the calm, cool colors. The artwork is full of peace and serenity and makes me feel calm.
